What You Require For CSS

Most people have all the tools they need to create cascading style sheets on their home computer.
The problem is there are so many tools out there that allow you to create (X)HTML and CSS on the fly. These so-called "wysiwyg" (What You See Is What You Get) editors aren't always the best method to start learning how to create both html pages and or cascading style sheets.
Using a "wysiwyg" editor can make things more complicated as someone who is new to both html and CSS doesn't realistically know if they are doing something right or wrong.
The control over the code output is essential, if you have problems and can't figure out where the problem is coming from then a "wysiwyg" is useless. Some editors apply extra coding which is not neccessary, which can complicate matters.
Everyone has to start as they mean to go on. I started out using "notepad", I wasn't allowed to use a "wysiwyg" editor until I was in my second year of my diploma. The idea behind this was and is simple, if someone can programme the required code per hand then they will be able to clean the mess up that a "wysiwyg" editor kicks out.

  1. Is it necessary to learn PHP if one wants to make career in website design? I have learned website designing and some software to create cool After Effects Templates for videos. I want to expand my knowledge to website development also. Please suggest me a path.
